Troubleshooting

Google Merchant Center and Bing problems

Updated

The fetch fails

  • Connected through Pin Data Connect? The Google card on Connections should show the data source. Confirm the Merchant Center account ID is right and that your Google account has access to it.
  • Connected manually? Check the URL, username, and password in the feed's settings. If you regenerated the password, update it there.

Products are disapproved

  • Price or availability mismatch: your catalog doesn't match your product page. Update the product, then Sync Now. See Prices.
  • Image problems: broken links, placeholders, or promotional overlays. See Product image links.
  • Missing identifiers: add the GTIN, or set Identifier Exists to FALSE for products without one. See Brand, GTIN, and MPN.
  • Clothing details: color, size, gender, and age group. See Clothing and shoes.
  • Shipping: set it up in Merchant Center, and keep it matching your checkout. See Shipping and tax.

Account-level warnings

Warnings about your whole account, such as missing business details, return policy, or a website that can't be verified, have to be fixed in Merchant Center itself. Products won't show until they're resolved.

Bing

Microsoft Merchant Center works the same way: check the feed's download status and its list of rejected products. Bing also needs a shipping cost on every product.
