Product fields
Prices, sale prices, and currency
Entering a price
Type just the number, such as 24.99. Pin Data Connect adds the currency from your Settings, so your catalog shows 24.99 USD. Don't type a currency symbol or code yourself on the form.
Prices in an imported file
In a file, write the price as a number followed by your currency code, such as 24.99 USD. A price in a different currency from your Settings is rejected, because a catalog can only use one currency.
Running a sale
- Enter the regular price in Price and the discounted price in Sale Price. The sale price should be lower than the price. Platforms show the sale price, often with the original crossed out.
- Sale Price is on Enhanced catalogs, along with sale price dates that start and end a sale automatically.
- To discount many products at once, tick them in Manage Product Catalog and use Bulk Edit. See Edit many products at once.
- When the sale ends, clear the Sale Price so the regular price shows again.
Keep prices matching your website
Platforms compare your catalog price with the price on your product page. If they don't match, products can be rejected or disapproved. Change prices in Pin Data Connect whenever you change them on your site. For a faster update, use Sync Now.
Pixels Pro and Fine Art America: prices come from your artwork pages. To refresh them, import the artwork again. See Keep Pixels prices up to date.
