Sync Now: how fast changes reach each platform

Updated

Your Data Source URL always serves your latest catalog. What takes time is the platform coming back to read it, and then processing what it finds.

How often each platform reads your catalog

  • Pinterest: on its own schedule, usually every 24 to 48 hours.
  • Facebook: daily, when connected through Pin Data Connect, or on the schedule you set for a manual data feed.
  • Google Merchant Center: daily, when connected through Pin Data Connect, or on the fetch schedule you set.
  • Bing: on the download schedule you set in Microsoft Merchant Center.

Send changes sooner with Sync Now

  1. Open Connections.
  2. On the Pinterest, Facebook, or Google card, click Sync Now.
  3. You'll see a message such as "Sync started - Pinterest is now re-fetching your catalog."

Sync Now appears once the platform is connected automatically and its data source has been created. The platform still needs time to process the new data, from a few minutes to a few hours.

Connected manually? Use the platform's own option to fetch the feed now, such as Fetch now in Google Merchant Center or Update now on a Facebook data feed.

Check when it last updated

Each connected card in Connections shows Data source "Pin Data Connect" created (ID: …) - last updated … with the time of the platform's most recent read.
