Basic vs Enhanced catalogs, and how to upgrade
Each platform has two catalog plans. Basic covers the fields a platform needs to list your products. Enhanced adds the optional fields that make listings richer and ads more targeted.
What Enhanced adds
- Variants: every color and size at once. See Variants.
- Identifiers: GTIN and MPN. See Brand, GTIN, and MPN.
- Extra media and details: additional images, sale prices, product characteristics, and reviews (which ones depends on the platform).
- Shipping, tax, and ad fields, including more custom labels.
- Facebook Enhanced also shows category-specific fields for clothing, electronics, jewelry, home decor, health and beauty, and baby and kids products.
On the Add Product form, each extra group stays hidden behind its own checkbox, so you only fill in what a product needs. For a full side-by-side list, see Compare plans.
Upgrade from Basic to Enhanced
- On Pricing, start the Enhanced plan for that platform.
- Your existing products are carried over to the Enhanced catalog automatically the first time you open it. There's nothing to re-enter or import.
- Your Data Source URL and any automatic connection keep working. The platform receives the Enhanced catalog from its next read.
- Then cancel the Basic plan in the sidebar's Subscriptions section so you're not billed for both. See Cancel your subscription.
Chrome extension on Enhanced: it adds the same core fields as Basic. Add variants, GTIN, and other Enhanced fields on the website afterward.
